"Flat Roof"

we are re- roofing our factory of 25 years and the contractor wants to leave the 3/8 pea gravel on the roof than apply the recovery board than membrance . Should I let him leave the gravel or take them off the roof before he starts

You should have them remove the pea gravel before starting. It is always best practice to remove any gravel and it could also effect the manufacturers warranty. You should contact the product manufacturer to make sure the warranty will remain intact if they cover over the existing gravel.

Yes, ProTeam has said it quite clearly that its not advisable for anybody and should remove gravel before the work starts.
